"A village once located in the central-west part of Hickory Grove Township, four miles east of Warrenton. A post office was located here in the early 1860s and was listed by Goodwin in 1867. It was discontinued in 1903 or 1904 when the rural mail route was established. About that time the village was also abandoned except as a farm residence section.
