Pingyao is a beautiful ancient fortified city located roughly one hundred kilometers away from Taiyuan in the center of the Shanxi Province. Perfect example of ancient Chinese fortified cities, Pingyao is considered as a miraculous city still perfectly preserved and ranks on the list of World Heritage of Unesco. A short stay in Pingyao will immerse you in the heart of traditional Ming and Qing architecture. Do not hesitate to add photos of the city but please keep the plaque secret.
