[FR] Statue représentant l'écrivain Antoine de Saint Exupéry et le Petit Prince assis en haut d’une colonne de marbre blanc. La colonne mesure plus de 5 m, et pèse 7 tonnes. Sur la base figurent 3 phrases extraites de son oeuvre et sur le socle la dernière page du “Petit Prince”. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry est né le 29 juin 1900. Il disparut en mission le 31 juillet 1944.
La statue en cuivre, créée par Christiane Guillaubey, sculptrice d’origine lyonnaise a été érigée, puis inaugurée le 29 juin 2000, à l'occasion de la célébration du centenaire de sa naissance à Lyon le 29 juin 1900.
[EN] Statue representing the writer Antoine de Saint Exupéry and the Little Prince sitting on top of a column of white marble. The column measures more than 5 m, and weighs 7 tons. On the base are 3 sentences extracted from his work and on the base the last page of the "Little Prince". Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was born on June 29, 1900. He disappeared on mission on July 31, 1944.
The copper statue, created by Christiane Guillaubey, sculptor of Lyons origin, was erected on June 29, 2000, on the occasion of the celebration of the centenary of her birth in Lyon on June 29, 1900.
