The small house is located in the vineyards of Rhöndorf below the "Drachenfels". The place offers a nice view of Rhöndorf, the Rhine and the vineyards and it is fun to have a look out of the windows. The vineyard house is a former guard house established in 1909 to protect the ripe wine against animals. It is a tower-like building from natural stone with round base floor, octagonal upper floor and 8-sided, skew-covered pyramid roof.

The protected building is part of Liste der Baudenkmäler in Bad Honnef.
