In front of the historic Page Memorial Library on East Broadway, stands this iron bench, mounted to a brick patio of donated bricks.
The bench was donated "In honor of Lucille Page Charter Member 1919-1973 Sand Springs Woman's Club Established 1919." Lucille Page was the wife of philanthropist and industrialist Charles Page, who founded the town of Sand Springs and established its earliest businesses for the sole purpose of supporting widows and orphans at the time.
On the back of the bench is a small plaque which indicates that the bench was "presented to the City of Sand Springs in Celebration of 100 Year Centennial 1912-2012 by Sand Springs Woman's Club."
Established in 1911, Sand Springs was incorporated in 1912 and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2012.
