Captain Webber is one of 16 Webbers interred at Hillside Cemetery. Born in 1761, he passed away, likely at Bristol, on March 3, 1819. At that time Bremen was part of Bristol, being separated from it many years later.

On January 26, 1791 Joshua Webber and Betsey Martin were married in Bristol. Of their children, the only one we know of is Benjamin Webber, born in Bristol, November 4, 1792, and died in Bremen, September 27, 1851.

With a short time of service of 2 months 18 days, Webber served in Captain Nehemiah Curtis's Company, within Colonel Jonathan Mitchel's Regiment, as a private. We assume that the "Captain" in Joshua Webber's name came later, identifying him as a sea captain.
