This dam is located at the Deer Creek Conservation Area in Langton, Ontario. Deer Creek is maintained by the Long Point Conservation Authority. Built in 1969 the dam provides river flow control and a recreational reservoir for the Conservation Area.
There is a small overflow port a few hundred meters east of the main dam.
The dam is not very accessible being under County Road 45 although there is roadside parking. There is no access to the dam from the Conservation Area.
