This war memorial is located at Lion's Park in Vienna, Ontario. The pyramid cairn-like monument has to plaques in it. The first lower one was placed in 1924 in memorial to the ex-pupils from Vienna School who fought in World War I. The second plaque honours both wars and was placed in 1949.
TEXT: "ERECTED IN HONOUR OF ALL MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVED IN WORLD WARS I & II

IN GRATEFUL TRIBUTE TOWARDS THE LIVING AND THE DEAD WHOSE VALIANT EFFORT AND BITTER SACRIFICE WAS MADE THAT FREEDOME AND JUSTICE SHALL NOT PERISH FROM THE EARTH.
BE HUMBLE, FOR IN THIS PRESENCE THEY ARE REMEMBERED.
ERECTED IN 1949."
