[FR]L'association Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire Hommes et patrimoine, a proposé récemment à ses adhérents une version approfondie de l'histoire de la villa Sainte-Marie. Les amateurs de beaux sites locaux n'ignorent pas certaines époques marquantes de cette demeure. Celle, où, alors appelée La Galanderie, elle appartenait à la famille Tonnellé (1855-1862), celle où, prenant le nom de Sainte-Marie, elle fut le siège de la communauté des Oratoriens (1866-1878). A l'époque du centre de rééducation pour les blessés de la Première Guerre mondiale, elle a été acquise par l'armée de l'air en 1937, puis occupée par les Allemands. Enfin, la villa a été le siège du Commandement des écoles de l'armée de l'air avec la présence des généraux qui y ont habité jusqu'en 2010, après sa mise en vente par l'État.

Un lieu répertorié dès le XVe siècle

Au-delà de ces épisodes connus, Michèle Davenier et Patrick Ranger sont parvenus, après des recherches acharnées, à remonter très loin dans l'histoire de la Galanderie et Sainte-Marie. L'auditoire a pu, grâce à la magie des archives, avoir accès à des cartes et des documents anciens datant des XVe, XVIe et XVIIe siècles, montrant l'évolution du domaine. L'histoire des propriétaires célèbres?: Jacob Baret, qui aurait été le premier acquéreur, les seigneurs Bezay, les trois générations de Taschereau, les familles Sorbière, Delacquis, puis les nombreux locataires dont des Anglais, qui, au XIXe siècle, appréciaient particulièrement la Touraine.
Enfin, parmi les habitants de la villa Sainte-Marie, citons Mme de Lambert qui, dès 1879, réalisa de nombreux travaux et dont le fils, Charles, après avoir volé avec les frères Wright, présenta le premier projet d'hydroglisseur. Une belle occasion pour Patrick Ranger de nous montrer des films de l'époque de ces exploits aéronautiques.
Et, comme c'est la coutume lors des réunions d'Hommes et patrimoine, ceux qui ont connu le lieu furent invités à témoigner. C'est ainsi que les généraux commandants des écoles de l'armée de l'air, Dischamps et Niclot ont accepté de prendre la parole.

The history of the famous owners: Jacob Baret, who would have been the first purchaser, the lords Bezay, the three generations of Taschereau, the Sorbière and Delacquis families, and the numerous tenants, including the English, who in the 19th century particularly appreciated the Touraine.
Finally, among the inhabitants of the villa Sainte-Marie, we can mention Madame de Lambert who, as early as 1879, carried out many works and whose son Charles, after having flown with the Wright brothers, presented the first hydrofoil project. A great opportunity for Patrick Ranger to show us films of the time of these aeronautical exploits.
And, as is the custom at meetings of Men and Heritage, those who knew the place were invited to testify. Thus, the commandant generals of the air force schools, Dischamps and Niclot, agreed to speak.
