Regional Office (Krajský úrad) building, located in Komenský Square (Komenského námestí) in Pardubice, was originally built for school in 1863. The date of the year, when the cornerstone was laid is marked on building' western front facade.
The monumental neo-Gothic building of the Regional Office, designed by architect František Schmoranz, Sr., was built for Pardubice Real School (Realschule, type of secondary school) in 1863-1866. Building served for educational purposes (after WWII it was used by Medical High School) till 2000. Recently (2015) it was transformed into a part of Pardubice Region Regional Office campus.
