The year of the construction is marked by nice ceramic mosaic in the upper part of the gable.
"Kraus' House" with unique decorative facade, designed by architect Jaroslav Kohoutek, was built as a representative hardware deparment store for merchant Josef Kraus in 1907-1908. "Kraus' House" is one of the most ambitious metropolitan-type commercial buildings built in Pardubice center in the beginning of the 20th century. "Kraus' House" is four-storeyed building with hexaaxial front facade with two oriels in lateral axes (in upper two storeys). Beautiful front facade is highly decorated by numerous Art-Nouveau elements mostly from ceramic tiles and on its gable is a large relief of god Mercury.
