Long Description:
The coordinates above are for the Camp Kane location (current Langum Park). Camp Kane was the training ground for t more than 1,000 men for the Union army, including the 8th and 17th Illinois Cavalry units. The land for the training ground was donated by General Farnsworth.
The St. Charles Heritage Center is located at N41 54.835 W88 18.676 and features a museum with Civil War era displays and artifacts. the address of the museum is listed below.
