Santa Elvira dates back to 1938 and is known for its peculiar and irregular structure consisting of stones and wood which gives it an Alpine character. The church, whose local tile roof rests on thick beams, has double doors and windows. The upper front has a half-arch which serves as a steeple and ends with a cross.

Inside the church the great cross of Christ adorns the wall behind the altar and the gilded tabernacle is embedded in the stone of the building.
