[EN] Belfry probably rebuilt or rebuilt after 1383, dated the first fire of the city by the French.
The building was undoubtedly damaged during the second fire in 1558: the coronation of the framework had to be rebuilt, it was probably during this restoration that a level of blind arcade was added to the tower.
Coronation destroyed by fire in 1940, then tower dynamited in 1944.
Belfry reconstructed with the same silhouette but a simplified decoration, between May 1958 and July 1961, on the plans of the architect Paul Gelis.

L'édifice ne fut sans doute qu'endommagé lors du 2e incendie en 1558 : le couronnement de charpente dut être refait, c'est probablement au cours de cette restauration que l'on ajouta un niveau d'arcature aveugle à la tour.
Couronnement détruit par le feu en 1940, puis tour dynamitée en 1944.
Beffroi reconstruit avec la même silhouette mais un décor simplifié, entre mai 1958 et juillet 1961, sur les plans de l'architecte Paul Gelis.
