These coat of arms adorn the top of the Queen Mother Gates at the southern entrance of Glamis Castle, which was her childhood home. The gates were designed by Lachlan Stewart and were opened on April 21st 2008 by her grandson, Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay. The coat of arms are a combination of the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom and that of the Bowes-Lyons family of Glamis Castle. It can be found at the western end of the village of Glamis` main street, the gateway being the start of a mile long straight road that leads northwards to the castle.
