The Reinbek Castle in Reinbek in southern Schleswig-Holstein was erected as one of the secondary residences of the duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf in the 16th century. It is one of the earliest buildings from the time of the Duke Adolf I and is considered one of the best examples of Renaissance in Schleswig-Holstein. The castle was restored after renovations of the 19th century from 1977 to 1987 and today serves as an art and cultural center of the city of Reinbek.
