[DE] "Die Kratertour beginnt am Wanderparkplatz der Vulkanparkstation "Booser Doppelmaar". Von hier aus führt ein schmaler Fußpfad an den Rand des westlichen Trockenmaares. Weiter geht es in Richtung Unterschemel mit Ausblick auf die imposante Silhouette der Nürburgruine. Die beiden Maare sind eindrucksvoll als weitläufige, flache Kessel in der Landschaft erkennbar.
Der Weg steigt nun steil hinauf zum Kraterrand, wo eine Schutzhütte mit tollem Blick auf Boos zur Rast einlädt. Ein Abstecher führt zu einem absoluten Highlight: dem Booser Eifelturm, der auf der höchsten Erhebung des Schneebergs 25 m in den Himmel ragt. Wer den Aufstieg über 125 Stufen auf sich nimmt, wird mit einem phantastischen Panorama-Blick über die reizvolle Eifellandschaft mit ihren erloschenen Vulkankegeln belohnt. Im weiteren Verlauf taucht der Wanderweg in den Wald ein. Er führt vorbei an uralten Hügelgräbern bis zum Hölgertberg. Der Abstieg erfolgt auf einem waldumsäumten Hohlweg hinab ins Nitzbachtal.
Unterwegs bieten sich tolle Aussichten auf die Orte Nitz, Drees und Wanderath. Vor einer traumhaften Bergwaldkulisse entlang den naturbelassenen Mäandern des Nitzbachtales führt der Traumpfad zurück zum Startpunkt."

[EN] "The Kratertour starts at the hiking park of the Booser Doppelmaar volcano park station, from where a narrow footpath leads to the edge of the western dry maar, continuing towards Unterschemel with a view of the imposing silhouette of the Nürburg ruins.The two maars are impressive as a spacious, Flat boiler in the countryside.
The path now climbs steeply up to the Kraterrand, where a shelter with a great view of Boos invites you to rest. A detour leads to an absolute highlight: the Booser Eifelturm, which rises 25 meters high on the highest elevation of the Schneeberg. If you climb the 125 steps you will be rewarded with a fantastic panorama view over the charming landscape with its extinct volcanoes. In the further course the hiking trail enters the forest. It leads past ancient hill graves to Hölgertberg. The descent takes place on a forest-lined hollow path down into the Nitzbachtal.
On the way there are great views of the villages of Nitz, Drees and Wanderath. The Traumpfad leads back to the starting point in front of a fantastic mountain scenery along the unspoiled meanders of the Nitzbachtal. "

Parking: N 50° 18.609 W 007° 00.165 Trailhead/trail website: [Web Link] Trail allowances or restrictions: At the Booser Doppelmaartour several trees have fallen on the section from the Nitzbach to the L94 (between signpost locations 017 and 018). The route is not passable at the moment. It was blocked by the municipality and a detour was set up. When the trees can be removed, the commune could not tell us yet. (As of 06.02.2017) Trail type: paved, gravel, crushed stone
