This tall hand-operated water pump stands at the Gano House, not far from the outhouse, in the Dallas Heritage Village.
It is a working water pump, used to teach modern city folks about life in pre-1910 Dallas, when if you wanted water you had to pump it or haul it yourself.

Sunday: Noon to 4 p.m.
Monday: Closed to the public
Tuesday – Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Closed the months of January and August
