[EN] Stone-built house with a ground floor and three floors. It served as a halt for the brothers of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, it belonged to the Commandery of Ile-Bouchard.

After having belonged to the order of the Temple, it passed to the order of St. John of Jerusalem.

The commander resided at Brizay, where there was a chapel, which still existed in 1787.

In 1569, the buildings were set on fire by the Huguenots. They were rebuilt two years later.

About the same time, they annexed to this commandery those of Nouâtre, of Chinon, and of the River, which had also belonged to the order of the Temple.

In 1790, the commandery of Ile-Bouchard had fifty acres of land, annuities amounting to five hundred bushels of all kinds, the tithes of Courances, parish of Theneuil, the dime of Migny, parish of Parcay; The tithes of Cravant and Razines, the house of the Temple, the parish of Rivarennes; The metairie and the mill of the Temple, parish of Nouâtre; The farm of Tantan, parish of Draché; The mill of the Temple and the metairie of the Hospital, parish of Balesmes.
