The small park and memorial is located in downtown Napa. In the middle are large panels and beans of steel with the history of the event and the names of the victims. The ground is covered with sand, and there are lights to illuminate the memorial at night.

9/11 is synonymous with four coordinated terrorist attacks carried out al qeda, an Islamist extremist group, on the morning of September 11,2001. The attacks killed 2,977 people. On the morning of September 11, 2001, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airplanes, deliberately crashing two of the planes into the upper floors of the North and South towers. the World Trade Center complex and a third plane into the Pentagon i1i Arlington.; Virginia.

After learning about the other attacks, passengers on the fourth hijacked plane, Flight 93, fought back, and the plane was crash in to an empty field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania about 20 minutes by air from Washington, DC.
