32 Pomona is a stony main-belt asteroid that is 81 km across. It was discovered by German-French astronomer Hermann Mayer Salomon Goldschmidt on October 26, 1854.
A 2.30 by 0.95 by 0.50 meter bronze sculpture of the Roman goddess Pomona occupies a the southwestern side of the pillar in the Plaça de Catalunya, in Barcelona. The sculpture was created by Enric Monjo in 1928.
The Roman goddess of fruitful abundance is depicted with braided hair and wearing a low cut sheer garment. She is carrying a branch full of fruit around her shoulders that falls in an arc to her left hip. Her right hand is held up. palm open, near her shoulder and he left hand is up, palm in, touching the front of her right shoulder.
