I only found out about this cemetery after seeing it on an old topography map and than looking it up on
FindaGrave.com. This cemetery sits west of Spencer Creek and named after the Spencer family, in which Hiram and Mary Spencer were the parents. There are also a number of Anderson graves in the cemetery.
This cemetery has been vandalized over the years with a few headstones knocked over and others shot at with guns. A few other headstones still stand but the overall property has been left abandoned to the elements and the ground is filled with Ponderosa pine needles. My family placed a geocache here to hopefully get others interested in visiting this old place.
There is also a small pet cemetery located just outside the fence line on the east side of the cemetery.
Getting to this cemetery is not easy, as you have to travel up a deep rutted dirt road and is accessible only during summer months. Any other month and it's just too muddy.
