This cream separator is located in the Western Development Museum - Story of People in Yorkton. Easy access from Yellowhead/16 Hwy. and Hwy. 16A West. It is east of Yorkton just a few km.

This cream separator is somewhat unusual as it is red not your most common color for an item of this type. Also the supply can (hopper) on top is really most uncommon.
Looking through 1000s of images it maybe a Mellotte as this cream separator was the only one with this same type of supply can.
Mellotte Brothers first introduced their first cream separator in 1852. Though it is very unlikely the featured cream separator is that old, most likely early 1900s.
It is still most interesting, in the gallery is a Jersey heifer we photographed when we visited the Jerseyland Organics Dairy in Grand Forks, British Columbia. (
