While their mailing address is Whitesboro, they are much closer to Callisburg (nine miles away), and the Sturgeon community (sometimes called "Baum") is nearby. There was a Hibbit community here at one time as well, but only this church and the adjoining cemetery remain. Interestingly, Charles Roff is buried in the cemetery: He was a Confederate officer who was called to testify during the Great Hanging of Gainesville in 1862.
