Ansel Adams once stood at the base of the falls in 1952 and took some amazing photography of Bridalveil Falls.

Today, there is a paved trail that leads to the base of the falls where Ansel Adams took his photo. It's about 1,000 feet from the parking lot and a 200 foot elevation gain. Depending on what time of year you come and see the falls, it may look very similar to Ansel Adam's photo from 1952. However, I visited the falls on September 23, 2016 when there was little water left in the river due to the drought conditions. Best time of year to see the falls is late spring when the snow is melting at higher elevations.
