Am Eingang der HTWK (Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Kultur Leipzig) an der Karl-Liebknecht-Straße befindet sich ein etwa 3 Meter hohes Mosaik. Die farbige Mosaikarbeit wurde vom Grafiker, Maler und Zeichner Gerhard Eichhorn geschaffen.
Das Thema der Mosaikarbeit sind die werktätigen Menschen in der sozialistischen Gesellschaft. Es zeigt unterschiedliche, teilweise miteinander agierende Berufsklassen, Männer wie Frauen.
ENGLISH:
At the entrance to the HTWK (University of Technology, Economics and Culture Leipzig) at the Karl-Liebknecht-Straße is a about 3 m high mosaic. The colored mosaic work was created by the graphic artist, painter and draftsman Gerhard Eichhorn.
The theme of mosaic work is the working people in socialist society. It shows different, partially active working classes, both men and women.
