The deeply cut valley of the "Wolfsschlucht" is one of the most interesting specific features in the volcano park Brohltal/Laacher See and worth to be visited.

Near Wassenach, fed from mineral springs, arises the Tönissteiner Bach. First he passes some trout ponds to overthrow several metres in the depth directly behind it.

A narrow path leads the traveller by the gulch and to the waterfall. At low water level one can reach the waterfall on slippery paths.
