This is a trig that I found on my way home from a volunteer trip to Thailand to teach some interested youth the basics of geocaching. I had flown into Coolangatta this morning, and taking my time, as it was Christmas Day, and there was no one at home anyway.
The trig is a white-painted, square steel post, set into a conical concrete base, with a short bent piece of plastic pipe, bolted on via the mounting plate.
The rest of the plastic pipe, and the braced black semi-circular vanes (with holes punched in them) is left lying on the ground right beside it.
As mentioned, the name plate is screwed onto one of the vanes. It reads:
