"Peel Park is a 22.6-hectare (56-acre) urban public park in the Bolton and Undercliffe area of Bradford, England, located about 0.75 miles (1.2 km) north-east of the city centre, and named after Sir Robert Peel (1788-1850). Peel Park was Bradford's first public park and is on the English Heritage and National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens online databases. The park is a Green Flag Award winner and has been for a number of years. link

The park is laid out on a hillside with the main promenade known as The Terrace running east to west, giving views over the rest of the park.

The bridge carries the promenade over a path below. The cast iron structure was cast at the Bradford Foundry with the date included in the manufacturing process.

Sadly the bridge structure has deteriorated and the arch is now supported by scaffolding.
Date built or dedicated as indicated on the date stone or plaque.: 1857

Date stone, plaque location.: In the middle of the cast iron arch.
