Col Benjamin Walker was a soldier during the Revolutionary War and later a US Representative from NY. He was born in 1753 and died in 1818.
During the War he served as an aide to Baron Von Steuben and to General George Washington.
He entered politics following the War and served in the House from 1801 - 1803.
The DAR Marker erroneously indicates this as the plot of Pte Daniel Beckly.
