The square Jasper Tower was completed in 1485. To replace the old Bell tower which was separate from the Cathedral, & now lays in ruin.
From Llandaff Cathedral Website:
"The modern ring of 12 bells was installed in 1992. All our bell ringers are volunteers, ranging in age from 10 to over 80 and come from all walks of life. We ring for Sunday services and for special occasions such as ordinations and civic events and we practise on Tuesday evenings.
Our ringing extends throughout the diocese where we enjoy meeting friends from other towers for regular practices, social occasions and ringing outings.
If you are interested in learning more about this fascinating hobby which affords both physical and mental exercise, please read more on the Guild of Ringers’ own website at www.llandaff.llanmon.org.uk you can also find much information about ringing within the diocese at www.llanmon.org.uk" Text Source: (
