This memorial in in the form of gates leading to the outer churchyard of St. Peter's, Kinver.
Plaques on each gatepost give the following details -
Left gatepost - RAF 1940-1941 Never in the field of human conflich was so much owed by so many to so few.
Right gatepost - To the glory of God and in loving memory of Pilot Officer Ian Murray Shirlaw, killed in action midnight March 21st/22nd 1940. These gates were erected March 1953 by his parents.
