Burgruine Drachenfels in the Siebengebirge is the remainder of a height castle on 321 m above sea level which was begun in 1138 by the inhabitant of Cologne archbishop Arnold I and was finished in 1149 by Gerhard von Are, the provost of the Bonn St. Cassius pencil. It stands on the mountain of the same name and offers a nice view across the Rhine.
