Detached cottage, now two semi-detached cottages. Late Cl7.
Limestone and flint chequers, thatched roof, brick gable-end
stacks. Single-storey and attic, 4 windows. 4-panelled C19 door
with canopy to right, to right is small casement, to left is
blocked window and two 2-light and one 3-light casements. Attic has four eyebrow dormers with one single and three 2-light casements.
Attached to left is C20 2-storey extension, not of special
interest. Rear has one 2-light casement and C20 door to left,
single and one 3-light casement and 4-panelled C19 door to right.
Attic has three 2-light casements and one single casement.
Interior has open fireplace with chamfered timber lintel on stone
jambs, to west gable, chamfered beams with bar or ogee stops in
Pear Tree Cottage, beams in Berry Cottage renewed. Both cottages
undergoing renovation at time of survey, (November 1984)."
