Museumsbahn Losheim is an scenic railroad owned by an association of railway enthusiasts in Losheim. At around a dozend operating days per year (please check theit website), they provide steam train rides along a beautiful landscape.
The railway of the former private held Merzig-Büschfelder-Eisenbahn was opened in 1903, closed for public transport in 1962 and for freight trains in 1987.
Since 1982, Museum Railway Losheim is using parts of the line between Merzig-Ost and Dellborner Mühle for historic trains. Freight transportation restarted in 2007.
