Monterey Mural, Monterey Ca - Murals on Waymarking.com

In the heart of downtown Monterey California is the Monterey Conference Center, and on the building, facing the corner of Del Monte and Pacific Streets, is The Monterey Mural, a huge tile mural by noted artist Guillermo [Bill] Wagner Granizo.
It was put in place in 1984.

The mural is packed with images of the history of the Monterey Bay area, from Native Americans to Spaniards to Farmers to Suburbanites. You could stand and stare for - hours. The images appear historically from left to right, with a huge ship dominating the left center.
