The hand prints are organised by NETIA Off Camera, an annual independent film maker festival held in Krakow.
This plaque was laid in 2014 to commemorate Benedict Cumberbatch.
"Benedict Cumberbatch became famous thanks to his role in the BBC TV series, “Sherlock.” The viewers could also marvel at him in the role of Ford in “12 Years a Slave” by Steve McQueen and Julian Assange in “The Fifth Estate” by Bill Condon. Steven Spielberg himself was supposed to suggest the director of “Star Treck” to cast him for this film, as he has earlier given Cumberbatch a role in “War Horse.” In spite of his success on the big screen, he is not going to give up on theatre. He performs on one of the most prestigious stages in the world, the Royal National Theatre."
