Crée en 2008, avec le concours de la municipalité, sous l'impulsion d'une poignée de membres fondateurs passionnés, Font-Romeu propose donc un musée dont les murs vont au delà de l'imagination. Au départ, l'idée novatrice pour la région est d'investir l'écrin naturel qu'est la forêt située entre Font- Romeu et l'Ermitage pour jalonner un sentier d'œuvres d'art monumentales et contemporaines.
C'est un endroit extraordinaire.
En évolution constante depuis sept ans, cette réalisation est devenue la galerie d'art la plus haute d'Europe et les œuvres qui la constituent reflètent les influences artistiques transfrontalières.
Created in 2008 with the support of the municipality, under the impetus of a handful of founding members passionate, Font Romeu proposes a museum whose walls extend beyond imagination. Initially, the innovative idea for the region is to invest the natural setting is the forest between Font-Romeu and the Hermitage to mark out a path of monumental and contemporary art.
