Der Barfüßer..
... ist die Hausbrauerei im Keller der Nürnberger Mauthalle. Dieses traditionsreiche Gebäude im Zentrum von Nürnberg wurde in der Zeit von 1498 bis 1502 erbaut. Ursprüngliche Bezeichnung war das „Kornhaus bei St. Claren“ und diente bis 1572 nur der Lagerung von Getreide, Salz und Wein. Nach Einrichtung des Zollhauses trug das Haus ab dann den Namen „Maut“. Nach einer wechselreichen Geschichte, der fas völligen Zerstörung im 2.Weltkrieg wurde die Mauthalle Anfang der 90er Jahre völlig saniert. Sie ist heute ein modernes Geschäftszentrum und beherbergt im Keller den „Barfüßer“.
Beschreibung des Einganges:
Gläserne, zweiflügelige Türe. Über dem Eingang sind drei Wappen zu sehen. Es ist eine reichstrukturiertes Relief.

Mauthalle , built 1498-1502. Destroyed in the II.nd worldwar, the building was totally renewed in the 1990 years.
Description of the doorway:
Transparent, double-wing door. Above the entrance you can see three coats of arms. It is a richly textured relief.
