Trabrennen allgemein

Trotting general
Horse racing is one of the oldest sports in the world. For many centuries, people have fun all over the world on the track, some are placing a bet, the other, it is enough to admire the view of the fast quadrupeds.
What many do not know: Horse Racing fulfill an essential task within the horse breeding. Both galloping and trotting races act as required by law by the state proficiency tests that should be also offered continuously by regulation. The aim of this performance testing is a well-planned as performance-breeding permitting. Background: Only the horses that meet the breed goal - that are healthy and fast - also have an effect in the whole blood or trotter breeding, there to pass on their assets and talents further. And who is the closest to this breeding goal, it is primarily the goal posts digestion.
A distinction is made between two different types of horse racing: the gallop and trot races. When Trotting only the gait trot is allowed, galloping is forbidden and leads to disqualification.
The Sulky is the significant hallmarks of trot driving. With up to 60 km / h, the driver thunder on their race cars, as they are called in the implementing rules by the Central Office for trotters breeding (HVT), in tow of horses on the track. Wheel to wheel sweep the teams toward the target. neither costs nor efforts are spared in Trabrennsport Hunting for great victories and decisive fractions of a second. Although many Sulkys similar at first glance, like peas in a pod, there are fine and especially costly differences. Although the Sulky characteristic of trotting races, there are also monte, in which the rider sitting on the back of a horse.
Trot races are held over different distances. A distinction is made between the plane distance (about 1,600m - 1,750m), the middle distance (about 1,900m - 2,100m) and the stayer distance (about 2,500m - 2,600m). Most Trotting - and thus also on the Trabrennbahn Hamburg - will run over the middle distance.
As a rule, the trotting races that take place on the racetrack in Bahrenfeld, professional race, in which full-time driver climb into the sulky. Trotting professional can only be who has successfully completed a three-year Pferdewirt training with a focus on trotting. Unlike the professional race and amateur races are sometimes held in which only riders allowed to compete that are not professionals.
