One devil chimera, sneakily added to an ornate flower design underneath the 1893 St Margaret's church gates, leers down on those entering or exiting the sanctuary, baring his pointy teeth.

If that doesn't scare you into church, I don't know what will!

The gates were installed in 1893, the gift of two Westminster city officials. The dedication plaque reads:

"The gates to the porch were presented by Henry A. Hunt and George H. Trollope
Chief Burgesses of Westminster
1893"
Water spout is used: no

Condition: Pristine
