PFC Stanley R. Christianson heroically sacrificed himself in defending his position while serving during the Korean War. For this he received the highest honor a US Service Member could receive which is the Medal of Honor. This sign was erected 9 years after he died in combat. It tells the story and honors the life of PFC Christianson who gave his life at the age of 25 defending hill 132 at Seoul on 29 September, 1950. PFC Christianson was from West Coulee, Wisconsin which is near Mindoro about ten miles from this location.
