Exhibiting a complete lack of originality we decided to draw a star in a nearby park for our first entry to this category.

This exercise could be looked upon as a Garmin versus Magellan competition. In this particular contest the Magellan came out the winner. The Garmin seemed to never quite get a positive fix on the satellites and kept wandering about, ultimately drawing a pretty badly messed up star, while any aberrations in the Magellan's track can be, for the most part, attributed to operator error.
Both Garmin (Montana 650T) and Magellan (610) were taken for the ride around the star simultaneously, being held in front of the operator just inches apart.
The park is Pople Park in east Trail, on the east side of McBride Street and a bit south of Highway 3B.
