EN: The railway station of Mörel is located on the bank of the Rhone on the southeast outskirts of the village just 50 meters from the aerial lift station to the holiday region Riederalp.
An average of about two regional trains per hour stop in Mörel. They run to Brig or Fiesch, some continue to Visp or Zermatt behind Brig, or Oberwald, Göschenen or Disentis in the other direction.
The station was opened in 1914 and operated by the Brig-Furka-Disentis Railway, its bankruptcy estate became the Furka-Oberalp railway in 1925. Since the merger with Brig-Visp-Zermatt-Bahn in 2003, the company is called Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. The old station building was demolished in 2014 and replaced by a simpler modern station.
DE: Der Bahnhof von Mörel befindet sich am Rhoneufer am südöstlichen Rand der Gemeinde nur rund 50 Meter von der Talstation der Seilbahn in die Ferienregion Riederalp.
In Mörel halten durchschnittlich etwa zwei Regionalzüge pro Stunde. Sie verkehren nach Brig oder Fiesch, einige weiter nach Visp oder Zermatt, bzw. Oberwald,Göschenen oder Disentis.
Der Bahnhof wurde 1914 eröffnet und von der Brig-Furka-Disentis-Bahn betrieben, aus deren Konkursmasse 1925 die Furka-Oberalp-Bahn entstand. Seit der Fusion mit der Brig-Visp-Zermatt-Bahn 2003 heisst die Gesellschaft Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn. Das alte Bahnhofsgebäude wurde 2014 abgerissen und durch eine einfachere moderne Station ersetzt.
