Found on the porch area of the United States Post Office in Sparta, WI, this disk was placed in 1921.

The US Post Office in Sparta, WI was constructed in 1915. Six years later this benchmark was set in the stone on the top of the bedrock water table to the west of the north main entrance. The disk is bronze and shows some green weathering, although very readable. After an extensive search, there is no datasheet on-line to be found. The disk was found using the Wisconsin State Cartographer's Office Control Finder interactive database.
