Ms. Barker's headstone is a modern, gray granite marker with flowers at the upper corners, and "The Lord is my Shepherd" in a ribbon at the bottom. Her personal information is:

1901 - President William McKinley is assassinated in Buffalo by an anarchist who thought he was doing the poor a favor.
1911 - Actress Butterfly McQueen is born in January, certainly delivered by someone who did know about birthin' babies.
1921 - Franklin Delano Roosevelt is stricken with polio. He beats up on the disease and still has a bright future ahead of him.
1931 - Bela Lugosi stars "Dracula".
1941 - Japan bombs Pearl Harbor in December, dragging the United States into World War II.
1951 - "The Giants win the pennant!" thanks to Bobby Thomson's late home run against the Dodgers.
1961 - Yuri Gagarin is the first human being in space, circling the Earth once.
