Padanaram, locally "Paddy", is a village on the A926 road between the Angus towns of Forfar and Kirriemuir, two miles from Forfar, three from Kirriemuir. Almost the entire village lies on the south of the road. There is a village hall but no shops, and apart from a few businesses, the village is residential. Why it came to be named Padanaram is by an large a mystery.
Bible verse: Genesis 35:9 And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram and blessed him.
