The colorful pub sign for the Angel in the Fields pub takes its inspiration from the stained glass windows of nearby St. James Church, just a short distance away on the Thayer Street (AKA the Marylebone High Street).
The pub is located at the intersection of Marylebone Lane and the Thayer Street, in the city of Westminster.
According to the Londonist, although this is a straightforward Samuel Smith's pub, with its gorgeous stained-glass windows, it is also one of the most beautiful pubs in London: (

"This pub was editorially chosen for inclusion by Londonist.
You could easily walk past the AITF without ever realising that you just missed one of the area's most beautiful pubs. The outside is plain in the extreme — almost studiously uninteresting. Inside, however, warm wooden panelling and striking stained-glass windows make for a unique environment. It's the complete antithesis of the overpriced boutiquery that commands most of Marylebone High Street, hence why we've included it in this pub guide. This is a straightforward Sam Smith's pub, with cheap beer, no music and no nonsense. The downstairs bar is the most attractive, but you'll find equally comfortable seating upstairs.
