The official TravelOK website highlights this historic park in southeastern Ada. The park dates back to 1907 when the Lake Creek was dammed forming a beautiful recreational lake amid the rolling hills and dense foliage. In 1933, the CCC improved the lake area, building hiking trails and bridges as well as several park buildings. Then in 1939-1940, the WPA built additional bridges and picnic areas.

The park has a 1.5 mile hiking trail and 5K/10K walk/runs are held occasionally. The large lake is stocked for fishermen, and there are numerous picnic tables for outdoor eating. At the north end of the park the Kiwanis have a great playground area, complete with swimming pool, softball, basketball, volleyball and horseshoes. They operate an amusement park with a carousel and train ride, as well as many pieces of playground equipment. Local fireworks are display on July 4th, and Christmas lights decorate the park at the holidays.

This park is beautiful and offers many activities. Plan to visit and stay awhile.
