To celebrate the birth of Princess Beatrix (31 01-1938) also in Hoorn immortalize was on February 1, 1938 the now as "The Beatrix Boom" reputable non fruit-bearing, off white flowering chestnut tree planted by the Board of the Orange County (then party committee) and the mayor of Heerde.
